9 – PREVIOUS MEDICATION HISTORY
NEW IN v7.7.1.0
Users can now download Previous Medication History from SureScripts.
This can be done by any staff member. When the User opens a Patient chart, MedInformatix automatically reaches out to SureScripts to verify the Patient previous Medications History.
From the Medications History Screen select ‘Rx Eligibility’
- A message will appear that the ‘Pharmacy Benefit has been confirmed’.
- Select ‘OK’
- The formulary will change to ‘Formulary: SureScripts RX Eligibility Verified’.
2. Select the ‘PharmRx Hist’ button
3. Select the number of historical months desired (4-24)
4. Select ‘Request Prescription History’
5. Select ‘OK’
- From the results, select the medication desired. Only one medication can be selected at a time.
The medication will be added to the Patient Medications History.
A warning message will appear if the Drug Description does not match the current standard in MedInformatix. Select ‘Ok’
- Select the correct medication. Select from the dropdown, if needed.
- The ‘Use For’ will default to ‘Prescribed by Other Provider’
- The Provider can be added in Demographics under Related Providers. This is Optional
Select ‘Save’
Repeat this process for each medication to be added to the Medications History.
NOTE:
- If the Patient paid for a prescription in CASH rather than using insurance, the information may not be available.
- Always confirm the medication information with the Patient prior to reconciling.
